Linda Pastan grew up in New York city, graduated from Radcliffe College in 1954 and received an MA from Brandeis University in 1957. Her poems have ap¬peared in many periodicals, including The Atlantic Monthly, The New Yorker, The New Republic, Har¬pers, The Georgia Review, Antaeus,
Grand Street, and The American Poetry Review. She has published six volumes of poetry since 1971, including A Perfect Cir¬cle of Sun, Aspects of Eve, The Five Stages of Grief, Waiting for My Life, and PM/AM: New and Selected Poems.
She has been awarded a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Dylan Thomas Poetry Award and the di Castagnola Award from The Amer¬ican Poetry Society. She lives in Potomac, Maryland, with her husband and children.
